If you’re having trouble mounting your tires or need a quick fix then try some combustible aerosol and a match. It works (as seen in the videos) but I wouldn’t recommend it.

….and here’s what happens when you use too much aerosol.

I was going through photos from my old Sidekick and found a bunch of old flicks that were literally a blast from the past. Among the ones I found was this one here….when my car was only a month old and the only mod I had was window tint – wait? Is window tint a mod? LOL.

Here’s a pic of the Collectizone DD4R wheels bolted on at stock height. The guy that put them on swore that they’d never fit but once we dropped the car and the camber kicked in it was all good.

Katia Sverdlova – our graphic designer – was featured in a Russian magazine called Design Inform. In the article they talk to her about Heavy Hitters, while also discussing her perspective on the creative process, the corporate structure as well as life in the United States as a graphic designer. Aside from her telling them that I was a nightmare to work with (I can read Russian Katia! LOL ) she said that everything was great! Congrats on the coverage Katia…you deserve it!

This cover along with Issue 1 (with the green Bentley) and Issue 2 are my favorite so far.

John’s cover with his Mercedes Benz CLS.

No bags. No switches. This is how it rolls.

Since the last time most people saw the car the springs seemed to have settled even more but the ride is still good and the big question seems to be, “Does it rub?”

Well….it does rub a bit on a full turn – especially up a hard driveway entrance – but fuck it. There’s a price to pay for everything and if you’re gonna cry about it than go build a clay model or watch internet porn.

….but it does.  Someone told my buddy that that you can't fit 22's on a Lexus GS so here's the proof….

lex_22.jpg

that you can. 22's, dropped…and rollin'. Pay up sucka. Oh yeah…no bags either. Straight suspension drop.

Do I have bacon stuck on my back bumper? Or do my exhaust fumes smell like a fresh batch of donuts? I don’t understand for the life of me why I’m always getting pulled over by cops and this morning was no different. I think I’ve narrowed it down to the fact that whenever I ride – or drive – in any car with Victor I automatically become a target. This Sheriff pulled us over this morning right when we got to the location of our shoot.

The first setup of the day. It’s amazing what a bunch of reflectors and some heavy experience can produce. We started this shoot over in Malibu at 9 am and ended up leaving the actual location at 6:40 pm. The shoot was for a potential cover shot for a new magazine called TRACTION, and It was one long ass day but also a very interesting one.

Evan Klein – the photographer extraordinarie – working his magic in just one of over a dozen different setups he created. Evan is best known for his work in automotive photography and is one of Motor Trend’s top cover and feature photographers. Big ups to crazy Evan for doin’ the damn thing on my car. Speaking of magic…..hey Evan….have you tried doing the Alaskan Snow Dragon on anyone yet? LOL.

Another setup with a silk sheet that wrapped around the vehicle to help create a moody ambiance inside the vehicle.

…..and another setup. This one was a bit weird because I’ve never been on a photoshoot where a “male model” was used. It was interesting nonetheless, but after about 15 minutes of Victor staring pervertedly at the model I told him that it was rude so he was kind enough to apologize to the guy. LMFAO.

….and finally the grand finale.

It wouldnt be complete without another Sheriff following us out of Point Duma as well as another one that creeped up besides us till we hit Santa Monica. Again….I swear that Vic is fuckin’ bad luck.
