On Friday night the party was as Platinum VIP as we all froze our asses off watching them install their new Phantom Cup Kit on Oscar’s BMW M3 (Carbon fiber widebody). Some gave up dates, others the strip club, but in the end it was all good and just another night of shooting the shit and ragging on Oscar. LOL.
Air bag systems usually run air tanks as big as old school trash cans but this new Phantom Cup kit runs a tank that’s smaller than most audio amps. Aside from the fact that it doesnt take up your whole trunk, the kit is also way more reliable, precise and elegant. Most importantly it’s void of that irritating pshhhhh! psshhhh! sound. The first samples of the Heavy Hitters license plate inserts are in and they’re lookin’ damn good.
I was just talking about the new dependency on technology a few weeks ago and now find myself a victim to it. Two weeks ago the HD on my Mac failed and now my Dell XP just took a dump. Luckily, I’ve got a third unit – a Power Book so I’m doing updates on here for now. Let’s see…losing the HD on the Mac set me back a few photoshoots and the XP had all the pics from the last week or so. It’ll be some time before I get them up and running and the funny this is that I got my Terabyte HD the same day the XP failed – so much for backing things up.
The next issue is at print right now so hang tight as it’ll be only a few weeks before it hits newsstands. As many of you already know the past few weeks has brought the demise of thousands of jobs as well as a few of your favorite magazines (Traction, Modified Luxury & Exotics) but fortunatley HH is good so be on the lookout because we’re making some changes.
There’s no doubt that the times are tough but it’s during these periods that you can’t get caught up in the hoopla of the media. The bottom line is that we’re all in it together so rather than focus on the negative, concentrate on paying your bills and weathering the storm. Even during the toughest of times there’s still plenty of people making money but now you just need to hustle harder, spend within your means – and above all else STOP COMPLAINING. On that note….stack your chips, filter what you mind sees and get all the crumbs you can because “crumbs make a cake.”
It's that time of the year again and amidst the crowded malls, congested freeways and all that other bullshit is a time that is best spent – and always defined – by eating ridiculous amounts of food and spending time with family and friends. While most can't wait for this time of the year to be over with, I actually like it because it's about the only time of the year that everyone gets to wind down to just chill. Here's a few snaps.
As always, we had a small get together but this definitely beats having the rest of the cheap ass relatives over and bringing shit but their appetite and open hands.
