This past weekend I dropped by High Class Car Club’s Easter Picnic and it’s safe to say that they packed a full house.
Even with the threat of rain spoiling their get together, hundreds of lowriders made their presence felt as they took over the main strip at Elysian Park. In an almost picture perfect backdrop, the palm trees and lowriders made a definite tatement to all things Los Angeles and it definitely spoke volumes about the roots of lowriding as well as Los Angeles car culture. From classic restorations that roamed into the six-figures all the way to full blown custom rides, the picnic played host to a colorful scheme of artistry and pride at its finest. Even better was the huge presence of families roaming the park and the one thing I will say is that anyone who has ever wanted to attend a lowrider show and/ or event is missing out. The bottom line, if you haven’t experienced these cars first hand then get up off your ass and go experience a part of car culture which is both phenomenal and enticing when it comes to attention to detail.
Of course, I forgot to charge my batteries so here’s a few of the flicks that I fired off. Enjoy the flicks and hope everyone is doing well.
