At a recent shoot with Freehand Profit.
This has been the longest that I haven’t updated the blog and I think I’m finally ready to step back into it. For starters, I want to apologize to those who have checked in on the regular and more importantly I have to thank everyone who has supported the site as well as all the titles that the team has been pumping out. It’s been a crazy few months and yet there’s still so much more to do and launch. We’ve got a few more exciting debuts this year and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on the progress but for now we’ll just keep it under wraps as the final tweaking sessions take place. Since New Years, we’ve completed another six magazines and for this time ever I’m going to have to say that timing was really a bitch. From overlapping deadlines to constant cancellations and problems with the weather, it’s been an uphill battle but it’s incidents like this which make for exciting times.
If everyday was a walk in the park it just wouldn’t be fun and I think many of you could agree to the old adage, “Pressure makes Diamonds.” As a matter of fact, I’m not the only one that works better under pressure. Pressure doesn’t allow a moment to worry, and it alleviates idle time and sometimes even emotion. I know when I’m under pressure, the goal becomes that much more distinct and I concentrate more on the solutions rather than the problems. Our photographer, Henry De Kuyper once told me that, “You can’t publish excuses.” and that phrase has stuck with me since because it’s the truth. I’ll have more posts up later in the day but figure I’d at least get the ball rolling with this one here. Sorry for any typos – I’m about to get carpel tunnel syndrome from typing on this piece of shit that we all call the iPhone.
