Mister Cartoon just finished off his new El Camino and polished it off with a set of custom wheels that were done in conjunction with DPE Wheels. Here’s a few flicks….sorry celphone pics do no justice to the wheel but it’s better than nothing. LOL….more updates to come….got stores to write and shoots to schedule.
The Pre-Mfest “The Calm before the Storm” meet was a hit and with row after row of BMW’s and a few others mixed in, the event was chill and the weather was dead on tits. This collaboration between Oakley and Mfest came standard with great weather and the perfect breeze clouded the fact that the sun was literally kicking your ass. Seroiusly…by the time I got home it was game over and now I feel like shit. LOL…but it was all worth it. Representatives from AC Schnitzer were on hand along with CEC, Vorsteiner, Savini Wheels, EAS, C&C Collision, just to name a few; and of course In Style Graphics and STM Advanced Window Film were on hand showing of the best they had to offer. Here’s a few flicks from the show and this time around I decided to shoot random flicks of non-BMW’s. If you’re looking for great coverage of the show then click here and if you haven’t already registered for Mfest than be sure to not miss out. Aside from the standard car shows the two “must go to events” of the year are going to be Mfest and the gRR so don’t miss out and register now!
Henry DeKuyper looking like the mad photographer in one of the fighter pilot seats in the lobby.
Here’s the main lobby of the Oakley building. This shit is on point and looks more like Gotham Hall than it does a leading sunglass company.
L4P & HH representation on the gas lid.
If you’re an LA native – or grew up here – then this Sharpie BMW created by Slang500 and Serge (Hyevon) is sure to fuck with your head. With plenty of LA cityscapes and landmarks, this Bimmer takes Sharpie cars to a whole other level and I’m sure you’ll agree once you see it for yourself. It’s all in this current issue of Heavy Hitters Magazine which is on newsstands now!
With a borrowed truck and trailer, see how one man borrowed his way to the top.
SCC (Specialty Car Craft) and Top Stitch Upholstery take 6 days to transform this Ferrari F430 into a matte black beauty. But aside from the matte black paint job, the prancing pony is also rockin’ a full Hamann body kit and wheel combo and even more interesting than the car itself is the story of the man who drives it. Trust me…..he’s not new to it….he’s true to it.
HH Magazine (Issue No. 15) just hit newsstands on the East Coast and it’ll be trickling it’s way on over to the West Coast by late this week. At the office with the ghouls. LOL.
It’s been a while since I’ve updated BCND on the regular but now that things are starting to settle down it’ll be the perfect time to get back on track. In the past few weeks, we’ve put together some great collabos that’ll change up the game and as always we’re allergic to bullshit and never complacent with anything we’ve achieved. Now don’t get it twisted, we’re happy as fuck with what we’ve accomplished but we are our own worst critics and we suggest you take the same approach. To be honest, it’s good to be hard on yourself because it’ll make you push the limits and that way there ain’t shit anyone else can say that’ll get you butt hurt. Seriously, if you have higher expectations than even the feeble minded naysayers then what could anyone possibly say to phase you?. LOL. OK….so yesterday we had some great meetings at the El Segundo office, then we were off to PV to finish off some final details on a shoot that we’re about to wrap up and as always we’ve got a lot marinating and you’ll all get a taste of it all really soon! Thanks for hanging in.
Hahn from STM. Need tint? He’s the best in town…just look at his reviews. Now when I say he’s the best in town I really mean it. From mansions to malls, corporate brands to block stars, STM is the leading institute for window tint, custom film and custom applications. Think I’m kidding? His accounts are no joke and range from Pinkberry all the way to the top notch Beverly Hills restaurants. Yup….he’s also the one responsible for tinting the entire glass side (where the escalators are) of the Beverly Cetner. Now ask your tint guy if he can fuck with that? LOL….but really he does great work, carries the best products so catch a budget, break bread and stay cool.
Coming soon…..like really soon….like this weekend soon. ha. (more…)
C&C Collision just finished off KC’s E39 BMW M5 and now that it’s got the complete Hamann body kit the best part about it all is that the front end sits just 2.5-inches up off the ground and it won’t make up his driveway at home. So in preparation, Chris is already getting a back up front lip ready and painted just in case this one gets scratched – LOL…which it already has.
Now that’s Indo style to the max and the suspension is static. To be honest, I still think it can a bit lower.
Quick flick of the Mc Laren SLR we had mentioned in an earlier post. For more pics click here and for the full story on the owner be on the lookout for a full feature in an upcoming issue of HH Magazine.
After we REMIX we hit up Ajos Y Cebolla and killed it. So seriously…if you’re looking to eat yourself to death then this is definitely the spot. The portions are huge, the food kicks ass and the Strawberry orchota is the business. Trust me on that.
While everyone smashed on burritos and asada plates Jay went with breakfast. LOL. (more…)
While you were sleepin” the Fleur de Lys mansion came alive and played home to the Ferrari 458 unveil. It was a great opening at a spectacular site and we were there so here’s a few flicks and you’ll see more soon!
Be on the lookout for more photography and coverage of this sick ass event from Dirk A.
Melissa on the Liberty Walk Perfomance buggy.
It might be small and do 0-30 mph in about 10 seconds but this a definite attention getter that’ll hang with even the best exotics. There’s more pics to post but I got stories to write and a few meetings to knock out so check back later.
The best looking 360 Engine bay to date. Looks even better in person.
What you know about this Rich. Sit down and take notes son. LMFAO.
I love exotic and luxury cars but this Honda is a beast. (more…)
If you were lucky enough to attend this weekend’s REMIX Award Tour that went down at the Irwindale Speedway, then you already know that the event turned out great. There were plenty of cars on display, a good amount of spectators and as for weather….well, you already know that if you wore jeans to this bitch then you had a sticky sac way before noon. LOL…but on the reals, the evet was hot, I look like I have high blood presure (and am about to explode like that dude from the movie Scanners), but in all it was worth the burn.
The one thing I will say is that there really was a good turn out of models. Now when I say a good turnout, I literally mean it. This event had the most models that I have ever seen at one single car show. For reals, this event had more models than there are hoodrats at a Lowrider Show and that’s a lot. Now keep in mind, some of them looked like train wrecks but fuck it, that’s what shows are all about and it adds variety – and great conversation to any show.
Topo and the crew from Dreamworks came out reppin hard with the matching Chevy Corvette and widebody Camaro. Both of these rides, were doused in a sick ass two-tone orange paint scheme and they both flossed custom audio/video work that’s unmatched. Seriously, the audio/ video side of things has been a bit bland but and you’ll be seeing much more of Dreamworks very, very soon so be on the lookout.
C’mon and stop playin. If you’re into old school wheels, than this bad boy would’ve had you on your knees kissing the ground it rolls on. If you’re a new school kat that grew up with 20′s being the smallest wheels you remember than you probably think I’m crazy but if you’ve been around then you’ll definitely agree that the wheels on this car are historic. SSR Defi’s? C’mon now…that’s what’s up! And be on the lookout for a crazy project that we’ll be busting out soon. (more…)
Face posted up with the new mag that’s about to drop.
Early in the morning I shot through to the homies studio to catch up and it comes as no surprise to see that he’s doing well. As always, the homie was on the positive tip and he’s held us down through the thick and the thin. To be honest, he’s a full time trooper that’s doesn’t lean with the wind and he’s a solid dude with nothing but heart and loyalty.
Face’s matte black CL with a cherry top and fresh new shoes. Gangsta. (more…)
