It’s Black Friday and the day that’s suppose to kick off the the busiest shopping season of the year (Christmas…if you couldn’t already figure that out) but I’ve never been able to understand why camping out overnight is worth the savings of $20 to $30? Then again…..I’ve heard of some great deals out there but waiting (or waking up) at the butt-crack of down just doesn’t sound appealing to me and I’m cool on the crazed shoppers and mob mentality. But for those of you that are down to do the deed…..enjoy the savings and I hope you stayed warm! Here’s a few facts about “Black Friday”….

• “Black Friday” got it’s name back in 1966
• The term originated in Philadelphia in reference to the heavy traffic of that day.
• It is considered the busiest shopping day by media, but it only reached the number one position in 2003 and 2005. From ‘93 through 2001 it was only the 5th to 10th busiest day
