It’s hard to believe that the GS was gutted out just a few months ago and now that’s it’s pretty much complete it’s time to take it back to the studio for some update shots. It’s safe to say that everyone involved in the rebuild killed it and a special thanks goes out to Platinum VIP, Top Stitch, Interad Wheels, Job Design and Toyo.

Sunday morning (7 a.m.) I was surprised to find Kennedy up and washing the RV because usually he’s usually the king of lagging but not this time.

A few nights before….Chris bolted up some new brake rotors that he just had done for his ride with HH logos.

Entry way to the pool.

On Saturday night the Mfest crew was back at it again and this time around they held a private bbq at Greg’s house…..or should we say Greg’s Villa because his place is pretty grand. Lots of good people, stand up cars and in all a good time with friends both old and new. I should have taken more pictures but my eye was tore back and giving me a headache but here’s a few that I fired off. (more…)

Treat the rest of your life like you’re running out of time.

I don’t know what’s been going on lately far too many people have become lax and slipshod in both life and business. Nowadays it seems as if everyone wants a hall pass from responsibility and I’m no fuckin’ hall monitor so kick rocks. Now it might sound like I’m pissed but I’m not because I’m actually tripping out on how many people have passed up good opportunities. What’s even better is when they blame the bad economy and bad luck for their misfortune and what really kills me is when people complain that they’re got too much going on. WTF? Too much going on? You’re lucky that you got a job you moron! LMFAO….but seriously the bottom line is people need to get off their ass and if there really aren’t any jobs out there then go create one and if you’ve got one then be thankful.

Anthony (Top Stitch) just finished off the interior for Mister Cartoon’s project for Tapout and the interior looks sick ass elegant. The color selection was on point, the use of thick supple leather was perfect and it’s sure to do the job it was designed for. Be on the lookout for more of this custom build soon. On another note, Anthony put it down with my interior and I’m just waiting for the rear center console to get done and then I’ll post some pics up or you can see it this weekend at “The Pursuit” that’s going down this weekend at the Toyota Speedway.

Tucked away in the back of Top Stitch upholstery was this brand new BMW X6M that was getting torn apart for some additional dead cow.

MrKatu

A few people emailed in asking for full photos of Mr. Katu’s old school cars
(that were featured in the back drop to his Lambos a few issues back) and this is the only one that I had on file so here it is. I know this style of vehicle isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but you have to admit that it’s clean as hell for how old it is. Enjoy.

Again…I didn’t have my camera charged up and ready to go and of course I ran into all kinds of folks and random cars so I’ll be back up tomorrow charged and ready to go.

post 22-INCH INTERAD WHEELS ON LEXUS GS

September 22nd, 2009

DSC07325

Here’s a few shots that I had on the camera as well as one that Angel sent over. As for offsets you’ll have to ask the fellas over at Interad Wheels but I will tell you that they measure in at 22×9.5-inches up front and 22×10.5-inches out back. The wheels are wrapped in Toyo tires and the centers are finished off in liquid gun metal and the hoops powder coated gloss black.

DSC07330

So here’s a few answers to the most common questions:

1. Does it rub? NO

2. Can i make full u-turns? YES

3. Are your fenders shaved/ rolled? YES

4. Are you on bags or a Phantom cupkit? NO

5. Do the lips stick out in the rear? NO..they’re flush and it’s just the pic.

interad

Once I clean the car I’ll take more shots but for now here’s a few more details about the build. The car was repainted by Platinum VIP, the body kit is from Job Design (the Hybrid Neo Kit) and it’s runing all natural camber all the way around with a coil-over kit.

Before I forget I gotta thank Jorge at JW for installing the wheels the first time around – yeah…when they DID rub. LOL….since then we went with bigger inners so we’re all good.

After years of rockin’ Collectizone wheels it was time to step up the game and get with a fresh new look so I went with a set of Turismo’s from Interad Wheels. After test fitting the first set, Kennedy from Platinum VIP took a look and wanted to push for wider so he made a few recommendations and before you know it, the homies from Interad (Angel & Brandon) agreed, did a little bit of tweaking and in three days had the joints back into play in a major way. Now the fitment is dead on and hellaflush. Gotta run to a meeting but I’ll have more pics up later when I get back……

Went to the office yesterday to go over issue 14 and it’s pretty much a wrap with the exception of the cover which needs just a few more tweaks and cover blurbs. This time around we’re going with a different concept that’s fresh and we’ll let you be the judge as to how it turns out so be on the lookout.

DSC07309

While shuffling through all the mess in my office I found this mock up cover of what the current issue was suppose to look like. The old school barnyard in the background was suppose to blend in with the theme of “American” muscle but in the end the vote was unanimous that it looked more hilly billy than slick so we scrapped it.
