When Dirk A. is around no one’s safe. LOL…here’s a shot of the rare and exclusive BF Performance x Lion Productions Lamborghini that he spotted. The only thing I’m wondering now is where are my HH plates! Some of the fellas are getting a phone call tomorrow. LMFAO.

Here’s a few more pics from Spocom. It was good to see everyone out there and for the most part, the show was pretty good with the exception of a few dozen cars that were questionable and far from appropriate – at least based on the turnout from years past. Regardless, there were plenty of other quality show cars that made up for it including including some crazy widebody Supras, drift cars as well as some clean ass Civics and Integras.

Before setup on Saturday morning.

As always, I have to thank everyone for their help and support for getting things in order for the show. Ralph (RMD) and Topo came through big on the booth setup and David (VIP) let us use the stancions so thanks again.  Of course we can’t forget about Mike Morita for getting us taking care of for the space.

At first I was just going to put a few things together for the booth but then Topo shed some light on the situation and asked, “Are we gonna represent? Because if we are then we better get it right? ” Needless to say I agreed and he came through big with bringing down the booth essentials and even helped us setup and all I gotta say to that is that dudes got heart because he didn’t even have a car reppin’ at the show with us but he was still down for the cause.

SSR Wheels. Some classic shit but nothing compared to what they used to be.

dsc00749.jpg

If you’re an old school fool that was into imports and knew what was up then you woulda been pinching your helmet if you saw this red Honda CRX fitted with some classic SSR Neo’s. These rims were the highlight of the SSR line up and if you ask me SSR should re-release their old school line of wheels with a limited run of all  the classics…kinda like what Nike does with Jordans. If they did they’d be gone in a heart beat. LOL.

Sick fitment and look at that lip….The boys over at Project car killed it with this one  here.

The only thing this thing was missing mas an OG Mugen exhaust. (more…)

This Sunday it all goes down at the Long Beach Convention Center so make sure you don’t miss out on Spocom USA. Heavy Hitters Magazine will be there showcasing some of the finest vehicles in the market, but if that’s not enough to get you to go then remember that there’s going to be plenty of import models so be sure to bring your cameras! LOL. See you there.

Over the past weekend we also hit up the 2008 Pasadena Councourse and while walking the grounds ran into a few fans of the magazine. It trips me out how HH gets the respect of all different types of car customizers and enthusiasts but then again, we don’t just focus on just one niche arena of cars, nor do we concentrate on a single target market. Rather, HH Magazine was  built to appeal to those who want more out of life regardless of your automotive flavor and it’s the only magazine that you’ll read from cover to cover. Thanks for the support.

I’ve been a huge Porsche fan since way back in the day and started dribbling when I saw this 1988 Porsche 962-C. This thing is a monster and was built as a replacement for the 956 and while many would argue that there plenty of better looking cars, like the Pink Pig, I still think this is one of my favorite. This brute beast was powered by a  twin-turbo, 3,000cc watercooled engine that put out 750 hp.

More pics to come later…….

 Beep Beep.

Back in the 80′s you were the man if you owned a Porsche 928 and yesterday I got a short course in the history of the car as well as why it’s an important piece of German automotive history. It was a fresh perspective from a different point of view and it had me looking at the car in a much different manner. But wait till you see what this guys got to say about the cars and even more fascinating is where he come from, how he came up and now where he’s at.

You would have thought that by now everyone would be sick and tired of seeing Topo’s custom wide body Challengers and Chargers but they’re not – maybe with the exception of Irving…LOL. Yetserday alone…I got about a dozen emails asking me for more photos of his latest creation: A matte black Dodge Challenger and I happened to see him earlier today so I fired off a few shots.

The car in person is flat out retarded and it gets looks from both men and women regardless of age. It’s ominous, a beast and once it’s completely done it’ll be a Stealth Bomber on wheels. Be on the lookout for a full feature on this widebody Dodge Challenger in a future issue of Heavy Hitters and I’m sure you’ll be surprised to find out who owns this beast and just as excited to see what he’s got tucked away in his toy box.

If you were out at the Roosevelt Hotel/ Hollywood or at the Playboy Mansion this past weekend then you probably got to see this Dodge Challenger in person. It’s a definite looker and I have thank the owner (who we’ll disclose later) as well as Topo for holding down and reppin’ Heavy Hitters Magazine to the fullest.

Lastnight a little less than two hours after this collabo piece between Risk x Revok & OG Abel was done someone came by and crossed out Revok’s name. What sucks is that this is the second time that his work has been hit by vandals and this new piece had actually replaced a previous mural which had been doused with a bucket of white paint by vandals. Sucks….shoulda at least left a name.  Photo by Jae.

Peque, Pipex, Tea, Jay, OG Abel, Osok.

Late lastnight we hit up the corner of Santa Fe and 7th to drop in on the fellas as they worked the final details on their new collabo piece. The mural, done by OG Abel, Risk and Revok is definitely sick so if you’re ever around the area be sure to check it out and grab some flicks.

Last week we hit upo Ojiya again except this time around for business and for fun.

Ojiya isn’t what you’d expect a great sushi place to look like. It’s not in some fancy buidling, not in the heart of Downtown or LA but rather in BFE – Chino Hills. It’s actually in a pretty run down compex with two huge sections that are vacant but the food is killer.

As soon as we sat down Davie broke out this watch box and as soon as he opened it up my first thought was to grab it and run. LOL…but instead I sat there overwhelmed and felling like I was going to puke. LOL….from Pam’s to an AP, IWC and a few other’s Davie brought a variety pack of watches and gave us a breakdown of each piece like a pro. If you’re a watch afficionado you should already know who Davie is and if you don’t…well don’t trip….’cause you will soon. He was just recently featured in a book which chronicles vintage Panerais and to say the guy is official would be an understatement. Congrats on the book inclusion…that’s huge!

This past Friday we shot on over to Sky Bar to meet with the L4P Family (& Gold Rush Rally participants) and while it was a bit slow in the beginning it took only about 30 minutes before the place was packed and outta control. Didn’t get a chance to see Knick, Aimee or Ben but did run into Verone, Raw-Mean, David, Dilan, Ben,  Jason, Leon and just about everyone else out there. Thanks again for the support fellas.

There’s a lot of drama revolving around 360 Forged but I’m steering clear from all that mess. The only thing I will say is that their new proposed line of wheels is the shit!  The last time a wheel had this much impact and wow factor was way back when Lowenhart first introduced the LD1 or when the first Davin Spinner came out, but if this line, called 360 Concave, does make it to production they’ll definitely become noteworthy.

These are of course photoshop renderings of what the wheels will look like but if 360 Wheels does manage to pull this off they’ll be running shit up until other manufacturers manage to find a way to get the same forgings….and then it’ll be a free for all.

This wheels is really nothing more than a remake of the stock BMW M3 wheel but it’s definitely dope.

Uhhh…can you say “FIRED!”

Tell me you just didn’t blow a load after seeing this….tell me.

Now that Topo just polished off his latest project it looks like the Vapor Challenger just got shot down. Now I’m not going to knock the interior of the US Airforce Dodge Challenger (because I do like it and think it’s fuckin’ sick) but I will say that the outside could’ve looked a lot better…and i mean a lot better. And after hearing how much G.A.S. got paid to do this project it blows my mind because I know some builders that would have built them some really sick ass cars and maybe even thrown in a condo in butt-fuck Egypt.  LOL….but I’m not hating….I just wish we had some guys on our staff that could lock us down for some big ticket items like this. LMFAO….wait? That shit’s not funny! Get off your ass mofos!

Now I’m sure that a lot of people are going to totally dig the U.S. Airforce Dodge Challenger but if  you were to ask me this new Challenger that Topo just finished off would have fit the bill perfectly – and more appropriately.  The thing is a beast, painted in matte black, flared out both in the front and the rear and if you’re impressed with the way it looks now then wait till you see what’s going under the hood. It’s a car that’ll get the respect of the young and the old as well as the knowing and the unknowledgeable. It’s got universal appeal and watch for a full feature on this ride as well as the owner in a future issue of HH…….the magazine that breaks it out first.

The front fender flare is sick…only thing I would have done differet is paint the grill black.

Topo….you killed the game with this one. The big rim, bling- bling stuff is pretty cool but this Challenger is the truth and the hands down champ.

Ass so fat you can see it from the front.

The Gold Rush Rally has officially started and all entries have officially launched from San Franscisco to Los Angeles. By tomorrow night, the official after party is going down in Santa Monica and then the fun continues as 45 cars launch to Vegas from L.A.! Here’s a few snaps courtey of Blake Siebe and we’ll have more photos shortly. Also be on the lookout for full coverage of this event in an upcoming issue of Heavy Hitters Magazine.

You might remember seeing Ben Abram’s Ariel Atom aka “EnzoKllr” in a past issue along with his Lamborghini SUV and G55. Ben, Blake and the crew at North West Auto Salon are coming strong with their three vehicles wrapped in gold and silver vinyl and as you can see they literally weathered the storm on their way over to S.F.

Save the date because Spocom is going down next weekend and each year it’s just getting better and better so you reallly don’t want to miss out. It all goes down at the Long Beach Convention Center on June 14th and Heavy Hitters Magazine will be there showcasing some of the finest vehicles from a variety of niche markets. But if that’s not enough to get you to go then remember that there’s going to be plenty of import models so who knows?! If you’re lucky you can take a picture with one of ‘em and have yourself a new profile pic for myspace or facebook! LMFAO.

I saw some pics of the Dodge Challenger that Galpin Auto Sports just built for the Air Force and some of it looks great while other parts look a bit too cartoonish.  They’re calling this build the “Vapor Challenger” and Jon Sibal broke down this car perfectly on his blog….
