A few weeks ago Fernando posted up a picture of him and Alan on his Facebook page to be a smart ass and the dialogue between the two was fuckin’ hilarious! If you know Fern, you already know he’s a smart ass but add to the equation Alan Lee – an even bigger smart ass with bad English – and it gets better. This is comedy.
Read his story and see his toys in the current issue of Heavy Hitters Magazine. It’s out on newsstands now so tell a friend and spread the word. (more…)
Over the weekend my sister picked up the new 2010 Toyota Prius and her negotiating skills had me proud, and the general manager sad that he couldn’t make way with the extra loot. Now I’ve see some people negotiate deals before but never like this and it was a blast to see the salesman walk back and forth about seven times until they finally gave in – or should I say gave up.
Trip on that. After already driving about 30 miles on a full tank she still had 570 miles left to go. LOL….I might have to get me a Prius!
Congrats!
If you haven’t had enough of the widebody frenzy or think that Topo only works on Dodge and Chrysler platforms than here’s a little something to feed your passion – or your hate. Topo’s latest project is a 2010 Chevy Camaro which is being wide bodied and once again the conversion is all done in steel and all hand crafted.
This particular widebody Camaro will be rockin’ a set of 26-inch wheels by request of the owner and personally I think the car would look way better with a set of 22′s or maybe even 24′s. Regardless, the quality of his work is retarded sick and anyone who says otherwise is just trying to gain their fame by bad mouthing the top dog. We’ll have more updates on this build shortly and we’ll also be showing you yet another new project that he’ll be building out soon.
Steve. The bossman of SCC: Specialty Car Craft.
Here’s a few flicks from Issue No. 11 which hit newsstands earlier this week. As the owner of Specialty Car Craft in Beverly Hills you’ll be amazed when you read Steve’s rags to riches story and when it comes to his matte black Rolls Royce Phantom…..well, you’ll either love it or hate it – we loved it! He’s made his mark in the industry, has passion like no other and he’s a solid guy that’s good with his word so be sure to check out his feature.
Sorry for the lack of updates but the past week has been totally out of control – of course in a good way. I’ve had to deal with meetings, a few international shoots, a few new projects, a few problems and of course the day-to-day grind that takes place getting everything in order for the next issue. As I’ve stated before, we continually strive to give you the most unique editorial content in the business and what sucks is that a lot of that time is wasted filtering out the fluff – but then again that’s just a part of business in general. Isn’t it?
The official on sale date for issue 11 of Heavy Hitters Magazine is set for June 30th but I’ve heard that it’s already out on newsstands so get out there and grab your copy now. Also, if you’re having a hard time finding the magazine in your specific area then why not save time and a bit o’ money and subscribe today.

Armenia’s Got Talent – Watch more Funny Videos
Found this video on Break and it’s called Armenia’s Got Talent but after looking further into it some are saying that it’s a Russian television show which is actually (and probably is) a spoof. Regardless…it had me crackin’ up.
If you’re looking for a gourment churro then look no further than Xooro aka the fancy spanish fritter. They’re stuffed with the flavor of your choice and some have even said that they’re better than the churros found on Olvera Street. If you’re interested in trying them out they’re opening up a new location on Melrose in West Hollywood tomorrow and from what I hear Kieth is already camping out. LOL. If you wanna see or read more about Xooro then click here.
I understand that cancellations happen from time to time but when you’ve struck out about 12 times in a row (in only three days) it’ll leave anyone baffled and a bit confused. Seriously, I’m about to pull the plug on dudes story and if the day goes by with no results than I think I’m just going to feature his monkey. Damn…it’s sad when a wild animal is easier to deal with than a grown ass man.
Then again, I can’t really discredit the guy because he’s got a great story to tell. Far too often, the real problem is with their management and/ or assistants that don’t know how to control or manage their clients. It’s sad but true.
By Saturday afternoon we had violated at least 6 association rules.
The past four days have been nothing but a blur and now that it’s officially over I’m not only exhausted but antsy about the upcoming week. I should have been sleeping by now there’s a shit load of work to get done, only 8 hours in a day and right when you’re about to doze off it never fails – the phone rings. I just polished off the final details for a shoot out in Australia and in a few hours I should be hearing from my boy out in Dubai. Till then….tick…tock….tick….tock….
Part of the reason I can’t sleep is because I’m a night owl and to add to that I’ve got a handful of bites from a family of fire ants, bruised ribs from a body blow, and over the weekend we really went out and caused a huge ruckus and to be honest I’m still trippin’ from the little excursion we took up this hillside – if that’s what you call it. We hiked up to this cave to trip out on an owls nest and the crazy part was that the entrance was littered with the remains of all the animals they had eaten. There were literally thousands of bones that littered the trail and when the owls came flying out I nearly shit my pants. (more…)
This past Friday night stopped off by Platinum VIP to check out yet another Club Lexus meet and while it wasn’t as packed the turnout was still good and visitors that showed were treated to food, drinks and a free gift bag along with a license plate frame and some other goodies.
Early next morning we shot out to the reopening of Super Auto Toyz in Stanton, CA and on the way down there the weather was absolute shit. It was overcast, sprinkling and the attendance of show cars was pretty poor but the store was still pretty packed. Needless to say the Super Auto Toyz staff was cool and one guy from the staff was even offered to pay for our all of our coffee which was definitely a nice gesture and much appreciated eventhough we had to decline. I’ve always been a fan of Bentley’s but the Hawkeye Special has to be one of my handsdown favorites. It has a pretty significant race history but even more monumental was the classic styling and color combination which emobides all of their infamous styling cues like the flagship green, use of the trademark mesh as well as the overall layout and design.

Decades later the interior on this flying B still kicks ass – although I doubt the Blackberry was ever a factory option. LOL.

In a previous issue of Heavy Hitters Magazine we featured Ralph Holguin – the owner of RMD. At the time of the shoot his house was still under construction so we couldnt feature it but fast forward a few months later and his house is coming along fine and the attention to detail on his build is impeccable. As always, it’s good to see a homie come up and his home has been in the works for quite some time and it’s a well deserved build that was carefully planned out.
At first glance you won’t notice the electrical outlets but once you get up close you’ll see that he had each of the covers painted to blend in with the stone work on his kitchen back splash. (more…)
