…and that’s only in checking!

NOTE! This is not my ATM receipt! LOL…I’m not trying to get run up on!!

This weekend went by so damn fast and since Friday it’s been nonstop. From running errands,  getting the Audi serviced, to finishing off stories, running to meetings, coordinating shoots and messing around, it’s been chaotic to say the least. Here’s a few flicks from the past two days and there’s even more to post up so here’s just a preview of some of what went down.

The highight of Friday was when this came in hand delivered and if you’re up on your watch/ strap game then you already know what it is and if you don’t then you’ll have to wait till tomorrow to find out. LOL.

Saturday afternoon we hit up a BMW meet and then we were off to go car shopping for one of our buddies. Newport Beach had this brand new Vanquish in stock but it wasn’t the right car/ model or color we were looking for.

So a few hours and three dealerships later, our homie found the car, spit a price and inked the deal for his new ride. The best part was when the finance guy asked to check his credit and my friend started laughing and blurted out, “Uhhh….my credit is OK, but I’ll just pay cash. Is that OK?” LMFAO…now that was some funny shit!

…so by 7:30pm it was time to celebrate with some good ol’ moonshine bootlegged from Mexico and the funny thing is that the guy from the dealership was the one to break out the booze! Seriously…It’s always good to see a friend come up after busting his ass and making wise decisions and while some may see the purchase as extravagant I think of it as more of a reward and a great way to enjoy life. Congrats on the new car Captain!

Work hard. Play hard….and as Chris from M-fest would say, “Jealousy is a disease. Get well soon haters.”

…from there  it was straight to Bergamot Station in Santa Monica to show love and support to the big homie P and of course the talented – but crazy – John Newsom!  It was a great show and I’ll have more photos up of his event up by tomorrow night. I’m ready to crash out.

I first hit up the Japanese restaurant Ojiya (Chino Hills) a few years back when Garie first put me up on game and ever since then I’ve always been back. This time we met up to discuss a possible new editorial section in the magazine and if all the right components click we should have something that’s pretty damn sick and unique to HH. We’ll see what happens and we draw final conclusions next Thursday. If it happens….it’s going to be sick and yet another element that seperates our title from the rest. (more…)

Ringin’ in at just under $3,000 for a set, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires are no joke nor do they last long. These tires will be done and trashed by the end of this weekend and in just a few more hours the Karwerkz & HH crew will be up at Redline Time Attack in Willow Springs for qualifying.

Good luck to Oscar and Ivo.

John with his new stash of air fresheners stuffed in his Snap-On tool box.

There’s nothing worse than getting into a car that smells like year old french fries stuck between your seats so do yourself a favor and get a JDM air freshner – in specific, the Cologne Smooth.

These new air fresheners come in about a dozen different aromas but the best ones so far are the ones shown above: White Musk aka “Hot Stripper”, Neo Squash, Sexy Soap and a must have is White Peach.  Since they’re bigger than the standard air freshener, they last longer and smell better so they’re perfect for your car or even your stank ass room. Want one? You can save the hassle of hunting one down and pick ‘em up at Platinum VIP.

Saw this sign at a local pet store and it had me crackin’ up till I looked inside……

Inside the bin was a big ass lung fish – which I thought was illegal in CA – but then again I was in the SGV so I guess anything goes when it comes to pets over here. Show ‘em the cash and there’s a good chance that they’ll get you what you whatever you want.

About to head to Chino for a meeting and figured I’d upload some random video clips while I waited around. This weeks been moving at a pace of about a million miles an hour and already some good shit is on lock. With that said, a few days ago I polished off one of the upcoming features and the one quote that caught my attention was, “…he wanted to move like a canoe, I wanted to go like a speedboat. So I bought my dad out.”

It’s a powerful statement that applies to all of us as individuals and one that merely reflects the drive and focus of those determined to succeed. Drive is what pushes boundaries, breaks records and reinvents the wheel and focus is what will get you there. At the end of the day you can’t be distracted by those not willing to keep the pace and it’s important to mention that consistency is the cornerstone to success and far more valuable than intensity alone. In short, one good day a week won’t get you too far anytime soon. In order to see results you have to have apply a consistent effort all around and if you’re not ready to go all in then why bother trying? Besides….life’s way too short to always be spectator so get out there, build a team and play for keeps.

ASANTI WIDE BODY CHEVY CAMARO

The wide body craze is hitting the industry hard and Asanti Wheels has just released images (probably Photoshopped) of their 2010 Widebody Chevy Camaro. Mated to a set of 22-inch Asanti ELT 144 wheels, the rear fender flares help tuck a 9-inch lip out back while the front sports a healthy 7.5-inches. Be on the lookout for more wide body conversions coming soon and it’s going to be game over once Top Flight gets his hands on one. On another note….at this angle doesnt the front end remind you of the Monte Carlo SS?

ARTISAN WIDE BODY CAMARO

While this is only a rendering, we’re kind of eager to see what the completed Artisan Artisan SA-600 will look like. Based on the 2010 Chevy Camaro, the two two rear-mounted GTK350 turbos and an ECU software upgrade, new intercooler and cat-back exhaust system is supposed to push 600 hp.

Topo: The man responsible for creating the sickest widebody Challengers, Chargers, Cadillacs and lowriders.

As far as custom work goes  for the previously listed cars, Topo’s got the game on lock by a long shot so if you’re looking for custom “all metal” wide body work then you already know who to call. But before you do call, remember that quality costs and if you wanna hang with the big dogs then you’ll have to stop pissing like a puppy so catch a budget and break bread.

Look how far in a set of 265′s sink in.

Until the actual rims come the Challenger hooked up to a set of 265′s to roll it around the shop so now from this angle you can tell just how wide of a flare it’s actually got.

Another shot of the vented front fender.

A lot of people will go on to build cars that turn heads but only few will ever build one that’ll will break records – and what you’re looking at here is a car that’ll do just that. Once complete, it will ultimately become the world’s fastest Dodge Challenger and when you see the motor that’ll be stuffed under (or should we say through) the hood of this beast then it’ll definitely justify the use of the red angel eyes and once the project is complete you already know where it’ll be featured first: Heavy Hitters Magazine.

Check the contour of the front flares brought to you by Top Flight Topo.

This picture better shows how much wider the front fender got and keep in mind that it’s all metal.

Just to keep things hater proof, here’s another shot of the other fender in it’s bare finish. I’ve got more pics to post of this project but you’ll have to check back later. In the meantime…I’ve got stories to finish, pictures to edit and an interview to do in about 15 minutes.

How’s this for some rarely seen rides. A ful custom Mercedes Benz Sprinter and a tricked out VW Bus with a half-tube chassis rear section.

Gear heads and technical junkies might give a hoot about the horsepower of a Ferrari but what really matters isn’t how hard the car launches but what it pulls – and Dirk caught the “pulling power” of a Ferrari in action.

Priceless…and oh so easily impressed. LOL.

Well now you will. I’ve heard a lot of guys say that they’ve got a bunch of RC cars but never in my life have I seen a collection this big. Just getting the cars out was exhausting and these aren’t even all of the cars in his full inventory.

dsc00174.jpg

This guy has a suitcase of batteries and he’ll only use one pack a day to keep the integrity of the batteries! Damn! RC Baller right here!

Just a fraction of the full collection.

dsc00188.jpg

This guy’s got it all….peak chargers, spare parts, alignment machines, motor break in stands, extra RF modules, extra servos, all the different weights of oils, a welding machine, spare motors, tons of extra tires….etc. In short, he’s got a lot more parts and inventory than some small hobby shops.

Spare case of “back up” race tires!

After starting off the afternoon checking out RC cars, shoes, animals and everything else we shot out to Huntington Beach to meet up with the homies who were rigged up since the morning. To say it was a great day would be an understatement so as soon as we got there we did what anyone else would do at the beach – watch Discovery Channel. LOL.

Lastnight MFest invaded Hollywood and damn did they party hard. By two in the afternoon the show was in order and by 9:30 people were puking their brains out. It was actually pretty funny because this type of chaos and debauchery doesn’t usually happen till about 1 or 2 in the morning but not lastnight.

The booze got the best of many and I saw one floozie trip over a table, another guy collapse and knock over some propane tanks and then I saw one guy crying on the phone like a beeyotch begging for his chick to get back with him. Damn….bad move homie.

It was good running into the homies from Hyevon/ HMS and all the M-Fest crew and I got a ton of flicks taken by John S. So be on the lookout for more coverage coming soon.

dsc00134.jpg

In the meantime, check the T&A. Right when I though it was Sausagefest USA. Like a pimp, Chris snapped his fingers and the stage was flooded with like a dozen chicks dancing all crazy and shit.

dsc00135.jpg

You can’t tell by the pic…but the one in the white bikini was smokin’!

dsc00136.jpg

Another hilarous moment lastnight was when the blond in the middle was getting her ass spanked and after about the sixth slap on the ass she finally turned around and said, “I’m not a whore!” and then the guy slapped her on the ass again and said, “Yes you are.”

dsc00139.jpg

Heyyy man. It’s Onxx, aka Mayor of Venice, aka Cheech.

Chris and Oscar from Karwerks were in attendance. Oscar stopped by to get his trophy for “Best engine” and Chris was sad that they weren’t giving away best M-themed costume. Hah! I ain’t mad at you though….but we were wondering how long it took you to get the tie and suspenders made?

Breaking into this house could be violently painful. LOL.

On the way back home I was ready to fall dead asleep on the freeway and as soon as I got back in I was amped and ready to start off fresh. So far….this Memorial Day Weekend has been pretty good and I’ve pretty much shut down from doing any “work related” shit and just been hanging out, catching up with friends and basically just chillin’ out and messing with my AppleTV.

While sorting through some hard drives, I ran across these old ass photos and figured I’d post ‘em up. I’ve got a shit load of pics that I’ve taken but only a fraction ever end up on the site….guess there just isn’t enough time in the day.

If you’re a fan of old school wheels – in particular SSR Wheels – then you’re gonna trip on this. I saw this SSR on display over at HW Motorsports and was debating if I should take a picture of it, or toss it in the truck and take off. Needless to say….I took the pic. Enjoy and have a safe Memorial Day Weekend.

After eating a shit load of food and running all around town I got hit with a food coma that crept up on me at about 7pm and then I crashed out. So after waking up a few hours later, I felt way to lazy to hit Hollywood and too bored to stay at home so I ended up at Platinum VIP – and as usual the parking lot was full of cars and Tea was working on his GS.

Now it’s about 6am, I’m still cracked out on the coffee & donuts but I did get a lot of work done. I finished some updates, cranked on another story, did a few things for a new project I’m working on and now I’m ready to crash out before I see the sun. More updates to come tomorrow….or does that mean later today. Here’s a few for now…..

Check out the twin-sequential turbo setup that was on this 2JZ that Tea was getting ready to yank out. The cast iron manifold, along with the two turbos weighed in at probably close to 80 lbs if not more!

Here’s the new manifold and single turbo. Much cleaner and way more powerful.

Here’s the last car that was in the paint booth. It’s a widebody Toyota Supra that’s going to be running a custom ITB setup very, very soon.

The funny thing about PMVIP is that it’s low key – eventhough the shop looks more like a strip club (or limo place) from the outside. The crazy thing about the spot is that there’s a huge misconception that they only do imports and camber work but that’s so far from the truth. Just a few weeks back a friend of mine happened to pass by when they loaded up six exotics in a transporter and he nearly lost his mind; and when he asked to take pics I said no simply because we wouldnt want to ruin any surprises  - or have any leaks – now would we? LMFAO. Pics to come soon.

Knick Jiminez and the masterminds at Luxury4Play are getting things wrapped up for the upcoming Gold Rush Rally – one of the most anticipated events of the year. With over 30 exotics crusing from San Francisco to Los Angeles and then off to Las Vegas, it’s going to a historic event that’ll up the bar for events of the sort. If you havent already experienced the L4P family, they’re a rare breed of luxury lifestyle enthusiasts that are fun and passionate about what they do and they’re taking the net and the streets by storm.

Be on the lookout and a special thanks goes out to all the members that share and spread the vision of Heavy Hitters. Cars are currently getting wrapped for Gold Rush and the graphics are sick.

We’re back at it again and this time around MFEST is invading Hollywood this Memorial Day Weekend. It all goes down on Sunday @ Kress and it kicks off at 4pm with a car show followed by a full list of festivities including an Mfest Bikini Fashion Show, Mfest BBQ and from there it’ll carry on through the wee hours of the morning so make sure you head out because you don’t want to miss out! Besides….you don’t have work on Monday so what are you worried about? Come out and kick it! Entry into the club is free but you have to pay to show your car in a premium spot.  For more details click here
