Happy Birthday Stacey! Sunday officially marked my sisters birthday so we celebrated at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. All I can say is that this place was dope and the perfect place to have dinner. The place was such a trip – and so much fun – that we got their at 7pm and didn’t end up leaving till after midnight.
WTF? Me in a suit? LOL….bet you’d never see that happen huh? (more…)
I wish I could use telemetry to throw up posts but there is no way I can which is probably while I’m always left behind. LOL. As of late, it’s been harder and harder to post all the good stuff that goes down and sometimes I wish that the magazine was online so you could get a play by play and see things instantly. Then again, they say that good things come to those who wait but with the advent of the internet I’m having a hard time believing that.
This week’s going to be a rough one and with shoots scheduled in Texas, the Mid-East and Florida it’s also going to be a lot of fun. This morning I got an email from the homie Emmanuel over in Kuwait and he sent over a few shots of him and the future wifey. They’re out in Kuwait right now and say that alcohol is illegal there (something I didn’t know) so he frequents Dubai when they’ve got free time. They’re a match made in heaven and the crazy thing is the met by accident – literally. More on that later……
Snap from the Superleggera Run that went down Saturday morning.
This weekend has been jam packed with all kinds of shit and to be honest it’s getting a bit overwhelming. There’s all kinds of events going down all over the place and I am so thankful for having the support that I have. I got David (nvrfmos) always out on the grind, Carter with the pedal to the metal and never afraid to represent and this past weekend I’ve been getting calls every few hours with updates and news of more and more meets. Dirk’s been out there reppin, Aimee keeps me up to date on emails (sorry I couldnt make it through) and all I can say is thank you! There are more of you out there that I might have forgot to thank but you already know who you are and you have to excuse my brain for being partially fried and toasted. There is literally so much shit going down in the next few weeks that it’s bananas but also a good indication as to the strength of this scene – and the people in it – so that’s a good thing. Be on the lookout for more coverage of all these events in an upcoming issue of HH.
This is only a partial glimpse into whats coming up. We keep things fresh.
I took this picture weeks ago and while I’m not typically the superstitious type I do believe that lady bugs are a porta fortuna or good luck charm. I know it sounds funny to hear me say that shit…but lady bugs for me have become an indicator of great things to come. In particular, lady bugs always seem to show up when good things or great friendships begin and while some would like to say that it’s all just coincidence I’ll take it as luck – and along with the luck I’ll take the good fortune. LOL.
Hours after I took this picture some good shit went down but what’s even more important than the gift itself are the people who gave it. It’s the start of some good shit and I know a lot of people right now think I’m fuckin’ nuts for saying this but in the past year I’ve had a good handful of lady bugs land on – or around me – and it’s alway brought around great people or marked the start of great things. From the start of HH, to curating and showing at my first gallery (and a major one at that) lady bugs have alway shown up at the right time and they’ve also marked the start of great friendships – of which none have failed.
This past Friday I was all over town and by nightfall I shot to Platinum VIP where Kennedy was running two grills filled with chicken, prime rib, burgers, links and wings and while the rest of us were kickin’ it Jay and Keith marinated a few special burgers with weed butter – burgers which later fell into the wrong hands and had their innocent victims talking to themselves in the corner or passsed out on sofas. LMFAO.
That night the homie Megdal came through the spot with Peter from Vorsteiner to drop off parts for the 6 and once it’s all done I’ll be be sure to have pics up. The Lexus is also in the works and here’s where it’s at…..
About five hours later we were bored so I won’t say where we went…to protect the place from smelling like bacon but it was flooded with drifters and to be honest I don’t think I’ll ever go up there again. The ride up made me car sick and the way back down was even worse. Once we got up there, the place was peaceful and serene with a great view and as we waited for cars to come barreling around the corner to break the silence you couldn’t help but think if there were any weirdos lurking around the mountains.
From what I hear there’s been a ton of accidents up there and on the way up we played witness to one that had just happened. (more…)

By the time you’ve been up for about 23 hours people start to get delerious and tools that would normally be dangerous – start to become tools for fun. Here’s a video of Mike using a Cheetah bead seater pump – normally used to seat the bead of a tire – to give Javi a quick and powerful 160 psi quicker, picker upper. LOL.
The company that owns Glendale Galleria – General Growth Properties Inc. – had about $29.6 billion in assets and more than $27 billion in liabilities as of Dec. 31, 2008 according to documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan. The filing comes as no surprise and announced on the 16th. So how did it happen? General Growth amassed a $27 billion debt during an ill-timed acquisition spree that turned the Chicago-based company with Iowa roots into the nation’s second-largest shopping mall company, behind Simon Property Group Inc.
The sudden downturn in the retail industry and the tight credit markets hurt all malls across the board and their bravado move acquiring properties nationwide turned into debt. General Growth has a stake in more than 200 malls across 44 states. It included 158 of those shopping centers in the bankruptcy filing. Note: According to General, none of the malls in Los Angeles should be affected.
Heavy Hitters Magazine Issue no. 10 hits newstands nationwide early next week so be sure to pick up your copy and spread the word! Inside you’ll find more stories of success as well as a 1,000 hp twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo and an exclusive story on the heirs to a petroleum empire.
Here’s a few shots of what you’ll find inside…..
When FAB Design comes out with new body kits for the Mercedes Benz you either love ‘em or hate ‘em and this one is no different. Their latest installment was designed for the Mercedes McLaren SLR supercar and it looks like a mix and updated version of Mark Hamill’s Vette from Corvette Summer and an old school RX-2 with screw on bubble flares. From some angles it’s great and from others it’s questionable but it’s definitely a looker either way.
Thanks to extensive modifications of the engine, the FAB Design powertrain now generates 750hp instead of the standard SLR’s 626hp and the production run for the car has been limited to only 15 units but don’t run too fast….they’re already sold out. (more…)
Was I really supposed to say no and follow my diet when these came around? Uhhhh…..I don’t think so. Jay brought these donuts from Donut Man in Glendora and these things are bomb. They’ve got peach donuts (when they’re in season), Strawberry donuts and all kinds of other crazy custom donuts. Try it out when you get a chance.
As of late I’ve been sleeping a lot because I’m sick but it’s definitely something I have to do more often. Then again, sleep for me is hard because on the regular I usually take cat naps and then I’m awake and back to work but I love what I do so I guess I’ve never really worked a day in my life. Right? LOL…Just this morning at about 2 a.m I was about to doze off when I ended up talking to the little bro from Dubai who’s helped me with so much and after going back and forth it looks like we might have some more crazy uber-baller stuff planned out but we’ll see what happens.
From there I was on a call with a buddy from Ukraine that’s working on some stuff for me out there (because labors cheaper…LOL) and I have to be the first to say that I’ve got a solid group of friends from all across the sprectrum. I seriously couldn’t have accomplished half this shit without them and they know who they are. You might see them once or twice on the blog and some you might never see but the bottom line is that I’m only as good as the people I surround myself. So keep your contacts strong and remember that we all start off nowhere and nobodies.
Be sure to check out Sushi Kai if you’re ever in Glendale.
Today felt like it went by in slow motion and after playing catch up and getting things in order I finally found the time to get this posted up. I actually spent most of the day flipping through yesterday’s photos and laughing my ass off and I’m sure that everyone can agree that it was a blast. Let’s just say that lots went down that day. From good conversation, to good food and lots of tequila it was definitely a memorable lunch that was a blast. As mentioned earlier, this goes down in history as one of the craziest get togethers yet and while it might sound a bit exaggerated it really wasn’t – and if you were there I’m sure you’d agree. Good food, lots of laughs, real talk and all within the company of some really solid folks. In fact, so much good shit went down yesterday that the lunch alone was worthy of it’s own post and I’ll add the rest later.
For the lunch kickoff, the big H met up with us and I was speechless when he showed up in what might have been the whitest and brightest pant & shoe combo that I have ever seen in my entire life! I swear….his pants must’ve had lights inside to be that bright! And to be honest, I was speechless when he showed up and didn’t know if he might have accidentally put on a pair of his ladies pants. Ha ha ha….I’m just fuckin’ with you man but c’mon….Don Johnson and Ricardo Montalblan didn’t have shit on you maaaaan! Ha ha ha! (more…)
This is about the third time I’ve woken up and all I know is that I’ve been getting sick a lot lately and it’s probably beause of a lack of sleep. I’m spitting up lung oysters from hell, taking medication prescribed from all kinds of doctors and after a crazy lunch with the boys I can tell you firsthand that Mucinex and Claritin don’t mix well with Don Julio! Ha ha ha…but screw it because it’s too late now. Seriously though…..today’s lunch was off the chain and everyone that sat down was late for their Easter dinners – and we’re not talking about late as in a few minutes…..we’re talking a few hours. LOL. The sushi at the joint was some of the best I’ve had – might even be better than my spot up in Chino – and at the end of the day the conversation was just as good as the food, the booze and the people around. Pics and full details will be up tomorrow and all I can say is that this lunch will go down in the history books as a classic and it’s further proof that the world is way too small. Good times fellas…..good times and thanks for everything. I’ll be back tomorrow with pics.
So my grandma just turned 91 – even though her cake says she’s 92 (Keep in mind my aunt bought the cake so I figured that there must’ve been a sale on the number “2″) LOL….but all joking aside it was her birthday on Saturday so we all got together to celebrate and it was a blast. The only thing I would have done different is I would have bought her a Star Wars themed cake because I always tell everyone that she looks like Yoda – except she’s not green. Ha ha ha……relax…I’m not fucked up. It’s all in good fun and I love her for giving me such a great mom. If the pictures look jagged then click on them to enlarge. (more…)
I just got a new Samsung Netbook (160 GB HD) and this thing is tiny! The best thing about it is that it’s handy and convenient to transfer photos and interiews right after a shoot and now I don’t have to worry about waiting around to get them or downloading stuff from an ftp. This way there’s no more confusion and no more waiting around! Here it is pictured besides a 15-inch Mac Book Pro. Oh yeah…if you’re wondering about the pen holder it’s “Dead Fred” LOL.
Yesterday morning was the official launch of M-Fest 2009 and the first group met up at the West Coast Customs Chevron on Santa Monica Blvd. Yeah…I was trippin’ balls when I saw the WCC Chevron and was wondering if that collabo actually helped them sell gas? Probably not. LOL.
The Fisker Latigo CS: A $200,000 rebodied BMW M6 that’s limited to 150 units.
At least thirty cars met at the first location including a Fisker Latigo CS from AutoTalent, a Porsche GT3 and a Ford GT40. With the first cars arriving at 5am, the gas station played home to a lot of good people and a great atmospwhere. To be honest, I was surprised because I’ve seen far too many BMW enthuasiasts that act like arrogant pricks but the Mfest bunch are a definitley a good bunch and fun to kick it with.
The Ringer leaders M5.
At 6:30 am we launched, and from there other groups were then stratgegically told to leave from other cities including Glendale, Pasadena, the South Bay and Orange County. The groups then seamlessly merged together on the fwy and everyone then made their way to Barstow where a huge group of M-Series Bimmers converged for one last stop off. Be sure to look for full coverage on this event as well as the video we shot of the drive up.
Uhhh…you’re stickers upside down. LOL.
Matte black is always a sick option.
