This weekend we’ve got a few events going down at the same time and Heavy Hitters will be out at all of them. For starters, we’ll be out at the D1GP in Anaheim, the Gumball launch over in Santa Monica and you already know we have to hit Bimmerfest in Santa Barbara. It’s going to be a long ass weekend and and let’s not forget the private event on Saturday night that’s going to be a blast.  We’ll see you all out there.

I was clearing out some folders and found some random watch photos that I had taken so I figured why not post ‘em up. Besides, my cousin (who frequents the blog) thinks that any watch above $50 is a waste of money so I figure why not post these up to irritate the shit out of him. LMFAO.

The Reaper has struck again and this time with one my favorite magazines – Portfolio. The magazine is officially washed up and as editors return to Forbes and Fortune it leaves other mags breathing a bit easier but not far from hyperventilating as to the thought of their own fate. It’s a tough time for many so hang on tight.

OK. Saw this story and was a bit blown away, but not quite as blown away as the guy who owned the Lambo. LOL. According to Mos News, the 22-year old driver of this Lambo lost control of his Lamborghini Murcielago and crashed into an oncoming Honda Civic. The amazing part is that no one died in this accident and the news article said…..

Although Christian was sitting in the passenger seat, in the accident he managed to hit his head on the wheel and get a serious head trauma, making the police doubtful whether he was sitting up straight and buckled up, or had his head on the driver’s lap.”

I’ve got lots to post up from last nights event but for now you can enjoy these. So much has went down in the past few weeks that it would look retarded – and I’d probably be retarded – to post it all up. For now, enjoy these snaps fired off by Dirk and I’ll throw some more up later on tonight.

“Officer. Out of all due respect I have somewhere to be so I’m going to give you this donut and then we’ll all be on our merry way. OK?”

Horiyoshi the Third traveling in style.

Yesterday’s shoot wasn’t a hit… It was history in the making. I know it’s a pretty bold statement to make but everyone at today’s session pretty much agreed that it’s highly unlikely that anyone will ever be able to pull off a shoot of this caliber ever again. Invited guests flew in from all around the world and it’ll be the first feature of its kind in Heavy Hitters. The only reason that Heavy Hitters Magazine could feature anything this crazy is the simple fact that we’re the only real lifestyle magazine in the market. We don’t tell you what you already know about cars, regurgitate information found on the net or supply you with information that’s months old. Our content is unique and the only one of it’s kind which is not affected by the swiftness of the net. We provide you  with stories that count and true to life stories that move, capture and motivate….no fabrication, no fluff and no BS.

Different cultures. Same lifestyle.

Posted with Rocco from Vancouver and Kennedy.

This will also be one of the first features that doesn’t revolve around cars but once you see what they’ve got then you’ll have no doubt that they could easily afford some sick cars.

Judyin the mix and doubling as a camera and sunglass holder. LOL.

So why are we doing it? It’s simple. It was to push boundaries and provide you with way-out content.  Let’s face it, there’s so more to life than just cars and we already know that car lovers are infatuated with watches, jewelry, homes and so much more so we figured that this would be the perfect fit – and we were willing to try. From the L.A. lifestyle to the Horiyoshi lifestyle, this shoot offers the best of both worlds and the post would not be complete without thanking Steve and Jake as well as Kazu and the Horiyoshi Family for making it all possible. Respect.

Lil Roy and Chuey from Tatooland.

At King Taco with the crew and $700 worth of food. LOL.

At today’s shoot you couldn’t pay the people to be there – nor could you pay to be there. It was a shoot that was done out of mutual respect and one that will go down in history leaving many wondering how we pulled it off.

Most will love it, some will hate it but at the end of the day HH is all about pushing the envelope to deliver content that is captivating and nonetheless interesting.

Reppin a shirt from BHC Clothing.

Wanna see more pics? Then check back later because I’m beat.

If you know the slightest bit about cars (Lamborghini in particular) you’ll find these videos truly entertaining. One video is of Soulja Boy talking smack to Bow Wow and the other is Bow’s response. They’re both equally ignorant when it comes to their car facts and Bow Wow has to be the worst. Watch and I’m sure you’ll see where they both go wrong. Soulja Boy says his doors to open up because it’s a convertible? (When it’s actually because a Gallardo is a V10 and “Lambo doors” were reserved for the V12 lineage). To top it off….Bow Wow says that he paid for his car with his AMEX Black Card – something highly unlikely since no dealerships would be likely to take the hit on the 2.1 percent merchant fee.

An equally stupid response…..LMFAO. Gallardo made in the U.S.? LMFAO.

Spent most of yesterday running errands and doing quick meetings and by night it was time to meet up with Chris – the ring leader of M-Fest. We literally sat down at some Japanese spot in Santa Monica to talk business, throw down some great food and sake and ended up being the last ones to leave – or the first ones kicked out….I guess it depends on how you look at it. LOL. It’s safe to say that we have more good stuff planned out within the next few weeks so be on the lookout because we got this on lock.

On another note, we had a brief conversation about the simple fact that you can’t – and don’t have to be a bully or an asshole – to get far in this lifetime. It’s funny how every industry always has those handful of guys that walk around like they’re king shit but is really all that necessary? It’s not. If your product or your service is as good as you think it is then it’ll speak for itself. So in short….STFU and let your work speak for itself and remember that the smart guys already know that the loudest guys are the ones you don’t have to worry about. LOL.

Now I’ve been cooped up all morning trying to leave but I’m getting slammed with phones calls and emails and feeling like I should just chain myself to this desk. I’ve got a shoot getting scrambled up in Texas, one going down in Florida and two this weekend. I’ve still got shirts to design, promo materials to get done and a 66 percent deadline this Thursday but fuck it……it’s all doable.

Tonight we’ve also got some visitors flying in and if everything goes down smooth it’s going to be one of the sickest shoots ever pulled off. That’s it…..I’m outta here and today I won’t forget my camera.

The fucked up thing isn’t the picture. It’s the fact that these wheels ARE going to fit. LMFAO.

Edgar slappin’ on the booties and Marvin chillin’ patiently as we prep the ride. You’ll see pics really soon on this bad mofo.

We don’t get down to the studio too much but when we do we gets down to business in a big way. Most guys that rent the studio are bangin’ out one car a day but not us. Fuck that….we hit three cars today in the slickest of fashion and you’ll see them all soon. I always preach about efficiency and it’s because of that we get shit accomplished in record time. Then again…it’s not really me. It’s Edgar that shoots in record time and everyone that shows up on time plays an integral part as well…..I got a good team. Today, we were suppose to actually roll through five cars but one Lambo didn’t show….and one Duck was a no show but it was still a good day.

Can you guess the car? LOL. (more…)

Passed by the shop today to check on the Lexus and most of the rear panels have been removed and replaced along with the trunk and taillights. Next up? The rear quarter panel and from there it’s smooth sailing so long as the new body kit comes in time. Since the back winshield is out I had the rear deck removed so it’s off to Top Stitch for more suede! Ohhh yeahh! Lol.
