post ANDY’S CHRYSLER 300C x A LONG ASS DRIVE.

March 30th, 2009

Filed under: Heavy Hitters Magazine — John Jarasa @ 10:44 pm

Another one of our show stoppers in the HH booth was Andy Aspurias’ Chrysler 300C. Decked out with an aluminum roof and some new wheels from Kartier, Andy drove over 300 miles (one way) from Stockton, CA to hold it down so you already know I couldn’t go without shouting him out. The funny thing is after he pulled up to the show and saw Jay’s 300 squattin’ like a turtle he was the first to say that  Jay took his crown – but promises to get it back next year. LOL.

If you havent been up to speed with HH, Andy was the first Chrysler 300C to be featured in Heavy Hitters Magazine and it’s without question why we did it. It’s clean, OG and one look at the car makes you want one regardless of what you drive. Keep posted as he gets ready to give Jay a TKO. Ha ha ha. Thanks for the support big dog and keep holding us down up North.

post 2009 SPRING FESTIVAL x HH

March 29th, 2009

Filed under: Heavy Hitters Magazine — John Jarasa @ 8:26 pm

There was no shortage of cars at the 2009 Spring Festival and the turnout of Dodge/ Chrysler enthusiasts was pretty damn crazy. The one thing I will say is that they should have made the show open to the public but then again I’m sure they’ve got their reasons for keeping it “invite only.” We’ll have more coverage in an upcoming issue of HH and it was good to meet all the new faces and supporters of HH.

More coverage in an upcoming issue of HH.

With the help of Ralph from RMD, his team designed and assembled a slick booth that helped take things to that next level.  Complete with carpets, truss, car stages and signage, the booth was a hit and the start of something fresh. Thanks Ralph….I can’t thank you enough for your help and support and thanks to Hector and the boys for getting everything together.

Check this Dodge Challenger which belongs to Jon Sibal. The paint job is sick and the stance is killin’ it.

I thought I had seen Jon Sibal talking to a group of people by the red carpet area but instead of doing cartwheels or dancing erratically to get  his attention I just let him carry on and scoped out his car. LOL….needless to say his car is looking mean and my top choice among the cars by the red carpet. If you’re cruising cyberspace be sure to check his blog(more…)

post PLATINUM VIP CHRSYLER 300

March 29th, 2009

Jay x Platinum VIP : Chrsyler 300.

A lot of time was put into the fine tuning Jay’s Chrysler 300. After changing out his lips for 6’s in the front and 7’s in the rear, the tedious process of fine tuning his suspension – and “crappy 2 a.m. food” – paid off for everyone as the car was more than well received.

We spent so much time running around and getting things in order than I forgot to get back to you Lucio. But it’s all good because all the cars already had K&N Air Filters on ‘em. The next time I’ll be sure to get signage and decals from you.

A shot of the Chrysler when it was rolled out in the morning….and yes it can be driven this low.

Enjoy the pics of the car while you can because after the show Jay was offered a good amount of money for the car from some guy driving a Brabus S600. We’ll see if he gets rid of it or not.

Doesn’t get any more flush that this.

post WIDEBODY DODGE CHARGER: TOP FLIGHT EDITION.

March 29th, 2009

Filed under: Heavy Hitters Magazine — John Jarasa @ 4:13 pm

Fernando said the Charger was like Viagra…..’cause it got him hard. LOL.

Topo’s new widebody Dodge Charger in the HH booth. Labled as the “Blue Beast” by some, this Super Bee sports custom front and rear fender flares that are all steel and hand crafted. The fender vents and stance of the car had spectators floored while the blue anodized Concavo wheels from Fogriato topped off the project along with a fresh new paint job from Platinum VIP. This is just the beginning of Top Flight’s reign of terror and he’s already got a few mods that’ll be added to the car. Did we mention a possible carbon fiber version? Ohh yeahh…..stay tuned ’cause he’s got lots more where this came from.

Fresh install: The Techo Supercharger kit breathes clean and easy through a K&N air filter.

post NIGO’S 300SL PROJECT CAR.

March 27th, 2009

Filed under: Heavy Hitters Magazine — John Jarasa @ 6:34 pm

Owning a Mercedes Benz has become synonomous with success but ownership of the infamous and iconic 1954 300SL gullwing is a pure symbol of wealth and exclusivity. So when Nigo – the owner of BAPE – looked to do his new projecdt car he contraced AMG to build him a 300SL that is fitted with a AMG V8 (6.0L) powerplant. There’s no word on whether or not it’ll be forced fed with superchargers or turbos but either way the restoration and retrofit is one that we can’t wait for.

Amidst all the drama and bullshit that went down today, we were able to get together with our experiential partner Ralph (RMD) and he came up with this sick ass booth design. If you don’t already know, this Saturday we’ll be showcasing at the LX Festival and it’s all getting setup tomorrow – actually in a few hours. LOL. As always, I sincerely appreciate everyones helping hand and support and now I think it’s time for Xanax because I’m about to have a mental overload! LOL….I’m just kidding. OK…maybe not.

post SMASHED…

Here’s what happened to the car.

Here’s a few more pics from this mornings little incident. To say it was a weird and fucked up accident would be a complete understatement and by the time it was over I was more than just confused. So here’s the short version of the story… I was just about to pull up to a meeting when the guy behind me plows right into my car. The first thing the guy does when he gets out is he starts dancing around saying, “Dawg! I’m sorry! I fucked up! I was looking for a cigarette and didn’t see you.” Then he says, “Please don’t call the cops homie and I’ll take care of it all and slide you on the side.”

There’s Fernando telling the cop, “I have an extra drink. You want one?” LMFAO.

The next thing you know the cops show up and one of them is telling me that I have no business having any contact with him and to stay away….they interrogate the guy in front of us (asking him wierd shit like…..what happened 5 years ago on a certain day, what set he runs with, etc….) and then they cuff him, haul him off and the cop then hands me a card with a police report number and they bounce?

Are you still with me? LOL.

Now here’s where it gets even better. I decide to carry on with my meeting at the spot and 10 minutes later a guy and two girls start scoping my car out in the lot when the guy comes over and says”Is that yo whip?” I nod in approval and then he smiles, shakes my hand and says, “Damn! That shit is tight yo! My cousins the one that hit yo car!”

So by now I’m like WTF and then he says, “Where’s my cousin? He has my house keys do you know where they’re at?” At this point I’m agitated as all hell…..and let’s just say the rest is history.

Now if you just read this and are now shaking you’re head in total confusion thinking WTF? Then imagine being there? I’m telling you……The world is getting stranger by the minute.

post WHAT A DAY….

Started off the morning on fire and getting things knocked out and done when some bullshit went down this morning on the way to a meeting. I got more pics to post but first have to deal with some major miscommunication that’s going down right now. It never seems to amaze me that you can dot your “i’s” and cross you “t’s” but someone, somewhere along the way will alway come to f*ck things up. Needless to say….I never lose and once I clean things up I’ll post up the rest of the pics.

By the end of the night my camera battery took a dump so i had to use the good old camera phone as a back up. Wait a second? Why do I have this funny feeling that posting this up will cause a heart attack….and in turn cause my phone to blow up in a few hours. Ha ha ha……damn it’s a small world.

post CATCHIN’ UP….

March 25th, 2009

Filed under: Heavy Hitters Magazine — John Jarasa @ 11:49 am

Viper sittin’ up at SWR.

Being sick for the past few days set me back a mountain of work and now it’s time to play catch up so the morning started off with a dose of Amoxicillin followed by answering a gang of emails. I’m getting back to everyone slowly but it’s been kinda tough since I’m still operating in ‘tard mode – probably from all the Thera-Flu and NyQuill I took. LOL.

Staring off the morning talking to Mike (M2) to let him know that we’ll be bringin’ out some heat to a local event that he’s puttin down @ the Irwindale Speedway (details to come). From there…jumped on a conference call with the homie Troy. He’s going to be holdin’ down the double H over in Texas for a high speed, high horsepower run that goes down this weekend and you already that the boys are bringin’ out the heavy artillery: Twin Turbo Camaro – Check. A few blown Duallys – check.

Ray Ray with his infamous, “Don’t make me wild out!” look. This comes about 2.5 seconds before he lifts his fists violently in the air and screams out, “I ain’t scared to share these mofos. I throw ‘em fo free!”

From there it was off to SWR to shoot the shit with Ray Ray, Vince and Wilbur. The one thing I love about going to SWR is that Ray’s always got some shit cookin – literally – and this time around he had some “black food” that looked good but had my guts twisted hours later.  Seriously Ray…..today the food was good but all that grease had me blowing ass chunks that looked like two day old wheat cream mixed with oysters. Regardless it was good to see some of the OG’s in action.

Haven’t seen  Wilbur in ages but if everything works according to plan we’ll be launching a sick ass collabo that takes things over the top in Taiwan. Details to come because we wouldn’t want to leak any ideas yet…..now would we? LOL.

Wilbur also talked up a storm about some industry heads that have recently taken a turn for the worse and this guy had me laughing so hard I almost pissed myslef – eventhough I think I made a few sunshine dots on my boxers. Ha ha ha….What was crazy about the whole conversation is that it revolved around the theme of my next editors letter which is all about building bridges and never destroying them. Seriously people…..my boy P put it best when he said that, “Long term players don’t burn bridges” and now that there’s some former big dogs in the wheel biz walking with their tails between their legs it’s got them looking like assholes. My advice to them? Lift your skirts and air your balls out and hopefully you learned your lessons.

So by 3pm, two more calls turned into additional booth space at an upcoming show in San Diego as well as a spot in Poker Run in Reno. It’s funny…at a few months ago, we decided to go full steam and when you’ve got a great network of people around you nothing is impossible – regardless if you have the money to do it or not – and when little or no money is involved and the main factor is mutual respect then it’s not longer called hustle….it’s called heart. To be honest it’s days like this that prove that efficiency, solid relationships and a good network can produce the most amazing results in hours instead of days. I’m blessed to have all these soldiers on my team.

Topo’s newest creation getting dropped off for paint.

With that said….we shot to George’s to knock out the final edits for two more videos that we’ll be releasing soon and all I gotta says is the new shit is bananas. Okay….sorry….right now I’ve got a major case of diarrhea of the hands (probably from my Monster Energy drink high) but the night didn’t even end here. In between checking on some project cars that we’ll be debuting at the LX Festival this weekend we also got confirmation from my boy Andy who’s coming down from Frisco to represent so if you’re in or around down this weekend be sure to come by the Heavy Hitters booth to say what’s up – and bring donuts while you’re at it. LOL.

Gettin prepped for that Platinum VIP finish.

Topo’s new supercharger breathing through a K&N filter. Sorry I didn’t get back to you Lucio……but don’t trip we’re still reppin’ K&N.

This shot was taken at 10pm and they’re pulling a second all-nighter in a row.

So tomorrow we’re going over some plans with Ralph over at RMD and all I gotta say that this dude is solid and more than just passionate about his work. When it comes to business, Ralph is more worried about the end result than he is about the money up front and again…..he’s further proof that there are good people left in this world.

DTG takin’ it to a whole different level. I think Mark would consider this 300C Hella Flush approved. This is anohter front shot of the front wheel.

…we gotta talk. LOL. I know you’re in the beginning phase of building an incredibly sick ass project car that’s going to demolish the VIP scene but after seeing photos of the new Wald Black Bison Kit for the IS-F I figured….why not build two? Right? LMFAO…..seriously…. this kit is a definite must have. Besides….you already have the IS-F to start with!. Ha ha ha!
