I'm not well versed in the world of art but I do know what I like and Peter Saul is currently at the top of that list. When I first walked into his opening of FIVE NEW PICTURES I was blown away by his use of colors and controversy to create a flooded yet sensible canvas. Even better is the simple fact that he's a genuinely nice artist that looks nothing like you'd expect. After looking at his work I had actually expected Peter to look like an acid-induced hippie walking around frantically but he's quite the opposite. Rather, he's a polite and well-versed artist that is very sincere.

Stacey and Peter Saul

Midway through the show, Peter took the time out to talk to my sister and I about his younger days as an artist. He had mentioned that back in the day he was intrigued and fascinated by the idea of shipping out pieces and getting cash in return. Since then, those days are long gone and he now enjoys attending his own events and for that we're glad as it was great to meet him and when the monies right we'll definitely be getting one of his pieces.
