Lastnight was the grand opening for two shows with Julius Friedman (Make it Rain) and Simon Bill (The Loved One). Both shows will run from June 8th through July 31st at the Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, CA so be sure to scope it out. 

Julius' audio/ visual presentation had guests engaged and in focus. This is his first showing and also the birth of what is sure to become a great career. Congratulations.

Trip on this…on the way up to AZ we saw this purple Mercedes Benz SLR convertible being transported. It looks blue in the picture but it's a deep purple.

Just in case you haven't been following the drama. Ice-T and Soulja Boy have been beefing and now Ice-T is putting his two-cents in and he's got lots to say. Ooooohhh weee!

We left to Havasu yesterday and if you think it's been hot in L.A. then think again. It was 115 degrees over here. 

On the way up we say this truck hauling some Donk tires. LOL.

It was pretty weird to see HH stickers on what looked like 20 consecutive reflector poles so we had to pull over and shoot a pic of at least one. Thanks to whoever put in work….because Lord knows it wasn't us because at 115 degrees it was hard enough to take this picture. 

Without giving up too much of what's coming out in a future issue of Heavy Hitters let's just say that someone brought out some big boy toys. (more…)

Jacob “The Jeweler” Arabov who has made custom jewelry for pretty much every major hip hop artist, Rudy Giuliani, and Bono has been sentenced to 30 months in Detroit today for lying to investigators about a multistate drug ring.

According to The Associated Press, Arabov was given seven months off his potential three-year-plus sentence for his extensive charity work. He was also ordered to pay a $50,000 fine and forfeit $2 million to the government. He was originally arrested in June 2006 in his Upper East Side store for conspiring to launder about $270 million in drug profits for a Detroit-based drug ring called the Black Mafia Family. But the charges were later dropped as part of a plea deal. Mr. Arabov told reporters: “I feel ashamed that I broke the laws of this country, a country that has been so good for me. I will carry this shame for the rest of my life.”

He was among 40 people indicted in the scheme orchestrated by the Black Mafia Family, which ran drugs out of Detroit beginning in the 1990s.
